What is Life ?

1) Life is defined as the period between birth and death. Life has different meanings to different people. A singer would say life is a song. A poet would say life is a poem. A physicist would say life is just time, space and matter. And so forth. Life is all these together . we have to put all these perspectives together to get the real picture about life.

Life is an unanswered question. But let us still believe in the dignity and importance of the question.

2) Life is like playing a violin in public and learning the instrument as one goes on.

3) Take on life one day at a time. Don’t think too far ahead

4) live life moment by moment

5) There is more to life than Achieving goals.—Kalam

7) We make a living by what we get, we make a life by what we give. -Sir Winston Churchill (1874 - 1965)

8) Even the least work done for others awakens the power within. Even thinking the least amount good for others gradually instills into the heart, the strength of a lion. Get up, and put your shoulders to the wheel. How long is this life for? As you have come into the world, leave some mark behind. Otherwise, where is the difference between you and the trees and stones? — Swami Vivekananda

9) The good life is one inspired by love and guided by knowledge”-Russel

What is the goal of life ?

i)Well being of mankind should be the general ultimate goal of any person. That’s being too idealistic. But as it is not feasible to work for the welfare of the entire mankind. Just focus on the welfare of your family, friends, relatives and colleagues

ii)Realizing the full potential as a human being is the goal of life. - Henry ford

iii) The goal of life is living in agreement with nature.- Zeno (335 BC - 264 BC), from Diogenes Laertius, Lives of Eminent Philosophers

Achieve goals using knowledge, teamwork, time, money and other resources and help others setting their goals and achieving them. That is my Goal.

Human being is a part of the whole, called by us the ‘Universe’, a part Limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as something separated from the rest; a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness, This delusion is a kind of prison for us,restricting us to our personal desires and affection for a few persons nearest us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole nature in its beauty. Nobody is able to achieve this completely but strivng for such achievement is in itself, a part of the liberation and a foundation for inner security. - Albert Einstein

How to achieve this goal ?

Create a solid belief system in your Mind

Our subconscious has a solid foundation . Reflexes comes from it naturally and spontaneously. Trust it. believe in its power . Constitution of our personality and character is scripted on it. Patiently etch more good principles and logical rules on it . rescript it. Let outer conscience do any thinking. Let it think, search, question, process do anything. But keep the inner core is hard with your own validated principles and value systems.

Outer consciousness atmosphere .Questions. Ambiguities.contadictions.dilemmas

Strong subconcious solid core scripted with principles.beliefs.quoations.logics. proverbs

This is Mother earth s picture. her face itself is teaching us that lesson

Why Attitudes are important

71) To a very large extent men and women are a product of how they define themselves. As a result of a combination of innate ideas and the intimate influences of the culture and environment we grow up in, we come to have beliefs about the nature of being human. These beliefs penetrate to a very deep level of our psychosomatic systems, our minds and brains, our nervous systems, our endocrine systems, and even our blood and sinews. We act, speak, and think according to these deeply held beliefs and belief systems

72) The greatest discovery of my generation is that human beings can alter their lives by altering their attitudes of mind.-- william james

73) Humans have the ability to shift perspective. We can experience the world through our senses. Or we can remove ourselves from our senses and experience the world even less directly. We can think about our life, rather than thinking in our life. We can think about what we think about our life, and we can think about what we think about that. We can shift perceptual positions many times over.

74) Everyone thinks of changing the world, but no one thinks of changing himself.-leo tolstoy

75) This is an attempt to change my attitude and belief systems.

76) A positive attitude can really make dreams come true

77) Human beings, by changing the inner attitudes of their minds, can change the outer aspects of their lives.

78) Each thought is a nail that is driven In structures that cannot decay; And the mansion at last will be given To us as we build it each day.

~ George Eliot ~

79) Creating a solid structure or framework in your mind is the first requisite for facing life’s problems.

80) Human beings, by changing the inner attitudes of their minds, can change the outer aspects of their lives.

81) Attitude is everything

82) learn the art of correct attitude ,correct perspective

correct thinking, correct speaking and correct doing

83) Our attitudes control our lives. Attitudes are a secret power working twenty-four hours a day, for good or bad. It is of paramount importance that we know how to harness and control this great force.

What is meant by Goals ?

84) Goals are a means to an end, not the ultimate purpose of our lives. They are simply a tool to concentrate our focus and move us in a direction. The only reason we really pursue goals is to cause ourselves to expand and grow. Achieving goals by themselves will never make us happy in the long term; it's who you become, as you overcome the obstacles necessary to achieve your goals, that can give you the deepest and most long-lasting sense of fulfillment.

85) A dream is just a dream. But a goal is a dream with a plan and deadline.

86) Install goals small and big deeply in my mind by doing prayer.

87) It is a paradoxical but profoundly true and important principle of life that the most likely way to reach a goal is to be aiming not at that goal itself but at some more ambitious goal beyond it.

88) Small aim is a crime

89) Great spirits have always encountered violent oppostion from mediocre minds.-Einstein

90) My mind will guide me every second how to achieve this goals

91) Never score self goals.

92) The first step to getting the things you want out of life is this: Decide what you want

93) The big secret in life is that there is no big secret. Whatever your goal, you can get there if you're willing to work

94) We find no real satisfaction or happiness in life without obstacles to conquer and goals to achieve.

95) A goal without a plan is just a wish

96) In life, the first thing you must do is decide what you really want. Weigh the costs and the results. Are the results worthy of the costs? Then make up your mind completely and go after your goal with all your might.

97) When we are motivated by goals that have deep meaning, by dreams that need completion, by pure love that needs expressing, then we truly live life

98) The person with a fixed goal, a clear picture of his desire, or an ideal always before him, causes it, through repetition, to be buried deeply in his subconscious mind and is thus enabled, thanks to its generative and sustaining power, to realize his goal in a minimum of time and with a minimum of physical effort. Just pursue the thought unceasingly. Step by step you will achieve realization, for all your faculties and powers become directed to that end.

99) Review your goals twice every day in order to be focused on achieving them.

100) There is one quality which one must possess to win, and that is definiteness of purpose, the knowledge of what one wants, and a burning desire to possess it

101) Decide what you want, decide what you are willing to exchange for it. Establish your priorities and go

102) It must be borne in mind that the tragedy of life doesn't lie in not reaching your goal. The tragedy lies in having no goal to reach. It isn't a calamity to die with dreams unfulfilled, but it is a calamity not to dream. It is not a disaster to be unable to capture your ideal, but it is a disaster to have no ideal to capture. It is not a disgrace not to reach the stars, but it is a disgrace to have no stars to reach for. Not failure, but low aim is a sin

103) You must have long term goals to keep you from being frustrated by short term failures.

104) Setting goals for your game is an art. The trick is in setting them at the right level neither too low nor too high.

105) Your goal should be out of reach but not out of sight.

106) The goal you set must be challenging. At the same time, it should be realistic and attainable, not impossible to reach. It should be challenging enough to make you stretch, but not so far that you break.

107) Goal = Dream + Plan + Deadline

108) We should have right and bright perspective about everything.

109) Make that change in you and people and things around you.

110) “If you want to make the world a better place take a look at yourself and make that change.”-Michael Jackson

111) The reason most people never reach their goals is that they don't define them, or ever seriously consider them as believable or achievable. Winners can tell you where they are going, what they plan to do along the way, and who will be sharing the adventure with them

112) A successful individual typically sets his next goal somewhat but not too much above his last achievement. In this way he steadily raises his level of aspiration.

113) Let me tell you the secret that has led me to my goal. My strength lies solely in my tenacity.

114) The big secret in life is that there is no big secret. Whatever your goal, you can get there if you're willing to work.

115) In absence of clearly defined goals, we become strangely loyal to performing daily acts of trivia.

116) The goal of life is living in agreement with nature

GOD

211) It seems to me that the idea of a personal God is an anthropological concept which I cannot take seriously. I also cannot imagine some will or goal outside the human sphere.... Science has been charged with undermining morality, but the charge is unjust. A man's ethical behavior should be based effectually on sympathy, education, and social ties and needs; no religious basis is necessary. Man would indeed be in a poor way if he had to be restrained by fear of punishment and hope of reward after death.-Einstien

214) The most ridiculous concept ever perpetrated by Homo Sapiens is that the Lord God of Creation, Shaper and Ruler of the Universes, wants the sacharrine adoration of his creations, that he can be persuaded by their prayers, and becomes petulant if he does not recieve this flattery. Yet this ridiculous notion, without one real shred of evidence to bolster it, has gone on to found one of the oldest, largest and least productive industries in history.- Robert Heinlein

215) I do not feel obliged to believe that the same God who has endowed us with sense, reason, and intellect has intended us to forgo their use. Galileo Galil

216) I do not think that the real reason why people accept religion is anything to do with argumentation. They accept religion on emotional grounds. One is often told that it is a very wrong thing to attack religion, because religion makes men virtuous. So I am told; I have not noticed it.- Russel

243) The Definition of Love

Here are a couple of things the bible says about love:The All time most quoted bible saying about love.

Love is patient,

love is kind.

It does not envy,

it does not boast,

it is not proud.

It is not rude,

it is not self-seeking,

it is not easily angered,

it keeps no record of wrongs.

Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.

It always protects,

always trusts,

always hopes,

always perseveres. 1 Corinthians 13:5-7So lets apply our definition of love to what this says;

love is a choice to do what is best for another person.

If I love someone, I will choose to be patient with them (be very slow to get angry with them).

I will choose to treat them well (be kind).

All these descriptions of love are ways of acting that we either choose to do or don't do.

The great thing is that when you choose to treat people this way, it often has the side effect of great feelings and emotions. Though not always; see the following quote from Jesus.

jesus on love
Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends. John 15:13

There are times when choosing to love someone comes at a great cost.

You have to sacrifice something; time, money, energy, and sometimes the greatest cost will be giving up your own life so that someone else can live.

When it really costs you something to persevere in a relationship or to help someone, that is the real test to find out if you truely love that person. If you bail out... guess what, you have just proved that you love yourself more than the person who needs your help. If you do whats best for the other person even though it is hard or costly for you... you have discovered real love. A love that you choose to execise regardless of how you feel.

1430) What We must Do- We want to stand upon our own feet and look fair and square at the world -- its good facts, its bad facts, its beauties, and its ugliness; see the world as it is and be not afraid of it. Conquer the world by intelligence and not merely by being slavishly subdued by the terror that comes from it. The whole conception of God is a conception derived from the ancient Oriental despotisms. It is a conception quite unworthy of free men. When you hear people in church debasing themselves and saying that they are miserable sinners, and all the rest of it, it seems contemptible and not worthy of self-respecting human beings. We ought to stand up and look the world frankly in the face. We ought to make the best we can of the world, and if it is not so good as we wish, after all it will still be better than what these others have made of it in all these ages. A good world needs knowledge, kindliness, and courage; it does not need a regretful hankering after the past or a fettering of the free intelligence by the words uttered long ago by ignorant men. It needs a fearless outlook and a free intelligence. It needs hope for the future, not looking back all the time toward a past that is dead, which we trust will be far surpassed by the future that our intelligence can create. – Burtrend Russel
